Modem to Firewall, Project Manager/Technician, Tek Systems.

Project Manager- Identify all corporate communication applications and coordinate upgrade to use Internet via firewall for them.  Client desires to eliminate or minimize use of Modems in the Novell Wide Area Network environment.

·        Identified applications, vendors and users.  Gathered information to timeline the application conversion. 

·        Coordinated addition of IP addresses and ports to the Firewall with Corporate Network Administrator and Firewall Vendor.

·        Coordinated with 20 different vendors to update 24 applications.

·        Prepared documentation and procedures for user training and use of the applications.

·        Responsible for Timeline and Solution proposals.

·        Developed and executed procurement and deployment strategy using Microsoft Project 2000, Excel 2000 and Outlook 2000 as Project Management tools.

·        Installed, tested and deployed the Communication Applications.  Trained users and provided them with documentation as required.  This is a continuing project.

·        Responsible for hiring and firing vendors and allocating resources
